I was rereading this one again today, and I have a question for an idea on it ... would you say that it could be around Season 5 ... say Buffy came back to Sunnydale to check on her mother ... or maybe she and her mother had made some sort of reconcilliation on one of Joyce's trips to LA ... and now Buffy is coming just to get Joyce to a specialist or something because she's worried about her?
Just tossing about an idea for the time frame and if someone could pick it up from that point.

Nothing wrong with your thinking being along those lines, Mary. I like post becoming fics ... and the changes that could have happened if she didn't come back ... or ran in to Spike while gone, etc ... are numerous and awesome to follow.

Aww...Spike! Love that he ditched Faith & Riley to go w/ Buffy...& I wasn't surprised Angel lied--when does he ever tell the full truth? I like the idea of Buffy not returning after season 2...hope one of these plot bunnies sparks a full story. & I like that both Riley & Faith assumed Buffy was a vamp & that Faith was so sure she was THE Slayer. Love Spike's reactions to that. LOL
