During Becoming Part 2, instead of the band lie Joyce comes up with an interesting alternative that Buffy and Spike go along with. Originally written in drabble form for kallysten's writing fest, October 2009, now expanded to full story form.
Ooh...I like it, very much! Loved that Buffy went along w/ Joyce's assumption & that Spike didn't say or do anything to the contrary. & I uber loved the flashback! Totally coulda seen that happening in season 2, especially after Xander's V-Day spell. & I liked that Buffy told Spike the truth about the last time she tried being honest about her calling w/ her parents. Hope he can help her convince Joyce quickly!! Great start, hope to see more soon. :)
Very intriguing!! I like the inclusion of Anyanka (kinda hope she keeps her demon state in this story) & I loved that she used Giles' chaos magic to help them both out a bit. & I thought it was an interesting touch that she was incorporeal--will we get an explanation as to how not having her pendant made her incorporeal and how long she's been ghost-like? I hope so...& if an Anyanka/Giles romance formed...well, I'm always down for that. ;) & uh-oh! Book's been translated due to the chaos magic...really looking forward to seeing what changes befall the Scooby gang, particularly Spuffy & Oz. I really liked that Buffy didn't allow Joyce to go off on her for very long before making Spike show off his game-face. & the li'l bit of Spike thoughts was great! I like knowing that he doesn't want to harm Buffy or Joyce & that he admitted to himself that Buffy's been in his thoughts a bit. Fantastic chappie! Can't wait to see what happens next. :D
Yay, update!! :D Methinks Buffy's bad feelings toward Drusilla aren't solely due to Kendra's death. ;) & I loved that she told Willow she didn't care that Angel was never coming back. Interesting twist that Angelus is actually thinking about keeping the portal open, not just opening it once & c'est la vie. & the mated werewolves? Very intriguing...especially since Angelus "thinks" he can just mate them up w/o difficulty once Oz infects the rest. & am I evil to want it to sorta work--& pair Oz & Cordy together? LMAO Wasn't surprised to see Joyce follow canon, hope it means Spike & Buffy get a li'l road trip together after the apocalypse (since Joyce told her not to come back). Fantastic chappie!! Any hints as to which lovely story will be updated next? :-P
Excellent chappie! Really loved the "wishful thinking" moment. :-P Too bad Spuffy have to stop snogging to save the world. LOL & I liked that Joyce actually felt some guilt over her words--since in canon, she didn't seem all that remorseful when Buffy returned. & I liked that she had choice words for Hank, even if some of it was projecting her own guilt & feelings of failure. & I absolutely loved the "effulgent" poetry stuff. Can't wait for Spike to reveal that he was the one to write the poem. :D
Nice chapter! I wonder what made Snyder freeze like that? Hopefully we'll find out in the next chappie. & I like that Joyce was so proactive by tracking Snyder down & immediately telling him that Buffy is innocent. Loved that Dru's thrall didn't work on Giles (Anyanka's influence, I presume?) but I liked Anya's li'l "go w/ it!" motions. LOL & it cracked me up that Angelus believed Giles about the tutu. Bwahahaha!!! Loved that Giles & Spike were in sync in their thoughts that Buffy'll be pissed about Oz & the rest being kidnapped. Can't wait for Buffy to make it to the mansion! :D
My computer decided to eat the last review...so this will be shorter than previously planned. I liked the use of the scissors...though Buffy's threat made scissors in her hands actually seem like a real weapon. Although that could be b/c Willow seemed to have scissors that weren't quite as sharp. Loved Anyanka's happiness @ getting her pendant back, was kinda hoping for a "pendant" dance like her "money dance". LOL & I really liked how Buffy wasn't really concerned w/ killing Angel early to "make it easier on her". It's nice to see the kiss affected her as much as Spike. & I adored the li'l kick Spike gets every time he calls himself Buffy's boyfriend in front of someone new. It's so cute! As was the way Buffy's face lit up & she smiled @ the sight of him. Glad the kiddies are out of the mansion...but Xander's li'l "We need to talk" has the ability to make me stabby. I'm sure he'll have some wonderful words about Buffy's new boyfriend, I just hope Buffy tells him to shut up, b/c it's her life--not his. & he ain't her boyfriend or father, so he has no say in what she does or who she does it with. Great update! Off to read the newest addition to "One Man's Hell"! :D
*snerk* Gary Sue?!? I'm still crackin' up over here. I wonder if there's a spell or something to explain why Xander's acting the way he is. This seems a li'l over the top, even for him. Why does he need Buffy normal so bad? Can't wait to find out. & I giggled a li'l about Giles forgetting about the werewolf part of the ritual. Loved that Spike won't let Giles do the Crumiamentum, & that Giles was just as fierce about Buffy. & big YAY for Anyanka sticking around! I love her!! & I like the idea of Faith & her Watcher--though I really hope Diane doesn't die this time.
Fantastic chappie! How much do I love that Snyder's still enjoying "time standing still"? SOOO MUCH! LOL & I know I've said it before, but I really love that Anyanka's sticking around...Giles & the rest of the Scoobies could use her brutal honesty & fun ways. & I like seeing Spike wanting to take care of Buffy & comfort her. It's quite adorable, especially from season 2 Spike. & I loved Drusilla's bit about the difficulty of being a master vamp's girlfriend & then wanting cake. :D & ooh...will Oz & Cordelia become the primary Scoobies/best friends of Buffy? I get the feeling Willow & Xander will be on the outs soon if they make no attempts to accept Spike or deal w/ Buffy's right to make her own choices. More soon please!! I'm a greedy li'l bitch. ;-P
Loved Oz's simple "You're causing bad karma." Very Zen. & I liked that you've involved Amy, that she recognized the magic & came to Giles for answers. Hmm...something more fun for Azriel? Perhaps tormenting Angelus for awhile & then having a relationship w/ Dru? That could keep her busy. :D Just a thought! & Hank & Joyce were scandalous! Fantastic! & it'll be nice to see Buffy interacting w/ her dad. Oh & I totally loved the Spuffy...I was hoping Buffy would pull him in! & I'm adoring the alternating quick updates between this & Restfield. Sooo...keep up the great work! :D
That extra vengeance demon running around is sure causing some weirdness for the Scoobies! I liked that it was a wish that got Spike back in the mansion to spy on Angelus. & I loved Drusilla's "Doesn't he know I am crazy?" LOL That was great! As was Spike thinking quickly & falling to the ground as if he were still paralyzed. I really liked that Buffy instantly thought to call for Anyanka--can't wait to see what happens w/ her in the mix earlier than canon (& w/o the constraints of being "only" Xander's girlfriend). & whoa, Xander & Willow! This confrontation should be interesting. Especially since I really didn't see Buffy trying to hesitate in killing Angelus anymore, she just found it more important to rescue her loved ones first. Hope Oz & Cordy are there to let everyone know which "side" they are on. Fantastic chappie! Can't wait for more! :D

Maybe she'll come to Giles when Xander & Willow try to convince her to help. & I really liked Cordelia being the first one to speak up about helping Buffy...ya know, Buffy COULD use a Seer to help w/ the prophetic dreams & visions! *hint, hint* LOL & I like that Oz is being careful...poor Oz! Faith & Diana in the mix w/ this group should be fun! & I have to admit I'd love a li'l more Anyanka--she's fantastic! Oh & the Joyce/Hank/Giles scene made me laugh. Fantastic update!! :D I liked that Amy gave a "neener neener" look to Oz & Willow as she left w/ Oz. I am pretty curious about one thing, though. How long has Willow been trying to keep Amy away from Buffy? Sounds like this could've been happening since Buffy tried out for the cheerleading squad or maybe even a shorter period of time, like since Xander had Amy cast the "LOVE" spell. & I'm quite interested in seeing how Xander & Willow's spell backfires on them. Xander was a li'l on the controlling side w/ Willow before the spell began, will that be a chaos-thing or a Xander-thing? & the tutus? Bwahahahaha!!! I share the laughter of Spike @ the thought of Angelus in a pretty purple, glittery tutu. LMAO Glad even Dru got a giggle out of it. & I like the "new Scoobies". & I really like that it was Cordy's idea to Bronze it up together...can't wait to see more of this group in action! Oh yeah, & I really liked Giles having an anti-magic talisman for Buffy--& I'm super excited to see Serina in this fic. ;) Great job!
Aww...it's nice to see Hank be a good daddy to Buffy! (& it was doubly adorable for me b/c my daddy's in town for a visit! LOL) 'd love to see Hank adjusting to life in Sunnydale. Fantastic chapter. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm really loving Amy being a part of the group, seeing the world from an outsider's (ie: non-Scooby) perspective is nice...& this foursome really works. Also, I really liked Buffy learning the truth about Xander's (& Giles') lies about the hyena incident. Watcher & Slayer definitely need a convo to clear the air after that relevation. & I'm uber-loving Buffy not taking any sass from anyone trying to tell her how to do her job as a Slayer or giving her grief about her choice of boyfriends. So great to see Willow realize she was fightin' on the wrong team. & I think she'll find Buffy & the rest pretty forgiving, especially if her change of heart is for real. & @ least she's not gaga for Xander anymore. Oh yeah, & Xander & Willow's reactions to "thirteenth" made me giggle. :D

LOL I'm really liking Willow's remorse...I'm hoping it stays & if she's gonna be magical that she gets some guidance from Serina. & Giles & Anya always make me smile, I adore the little touches & words that show how they feel about each other. Azzie & Ethan? To quote Giles, "The earth is doomed." Hee! Just a tiny bit of Spuffy, but that's okay b/c the plot needed to move forward a li'l bit. Excellent...I really like that Giles didn't know EXACTLY what Xander had tried while under the hyena posession (I always thought Buffy knew BOTH of them lied in canon & it was the first MAJOR breach of trust--& Buffy never quite trusted either of them completely ever again.). & HAHAHAHAHAHA @ Angelus dithering about Drusilla before getting kicked in the head & balls...totally deserved. Though his freakout does make me wonder if Dru got distracted by the chaos & is up to no good--or possibly up to GOOD! Who knows w/ this chaos running around? :D & I think Diana will be pleasantly surprised to find out just how accepting the Hellmouth's Watcher & Slayer can be...especially since she's just seen Spike working w/ Buffy. Joyce is having too much fun w/ Hank! But he deserves it, so I'm okay w/ it. LOL I also liked that Ethan got Azriel out of town, that way Sunnydale will go back to "normal" earlier. Loved Buffy getting right to the point about Spike's blood intake. Can't wait to see his response! Oh yeah, & now I want waffles.
Great chapter! I really liked that Xander & Willow are feeling remorse for their actions...hopefully they've learned from this experience. & I really loved Drusilla standing up for her own heart & leaving Angelus...best part of the chappie, imo! & of course, I liked the Spuffy, & I liked Buffy being so forthright in asking Spike how he was feeding. OMG...can't.stop.laughing. The thought of Angelus in a sparkly tutu w/ matching leotard AND slippers? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Great chapter, by the way! I really liked that Buffy thought things through before offering Spike her blood. And I love the friendship she's formed with Cordelia and Amy. Oh Xander, will you ever learn? Maybe if Angelus doesn't kill (or turn) him, he'll have the chance. Not surprised Willow was feeling guilty, I don't think cookies as apologies will cut it with anyone. Glad Spike had no desire to go back to Dru & loved the I love yous! :D More soon please!
